Do you know about Brigadier Balraj Anna’s wife? Valvettithurai
Valvettithurai, one of the major port towns of Eelam, is the abode of a unique culture. Valvettithurai is aptly named as the land of the mighty.
Valvettithurai is not only home to those who are skilled in searching for treasure in the seas, but also to those who were skilled in shipbuilding technology many decades ago in history.
This town is also the birthplace of our incomparable great leader, the national leader of Tamileelam, the God of Kali Yuga, who is available to everyone. And this town has an indelible reputation in the history of Tamileelam.
It was in this town with such historical pride that our sister Varada arrived on 01.11.1969 as the last daughter of Mrs. Yogarasa along with one sister and two brothers.
She has the honor and great honor of being a close relative of our national leader. Because of this, Chandrakumari Akka was naturally endowed with great courage and leadership qualities from a young age.
Her family is a vegetarian family that does not eat meat. Her father worked as a government clerk in Colombo Metropolitan City. Chandrakumari Akka also received her early education in Colombo.
Later, due to the serious ethnic riots unleashed against the Tamils in 1977, her family migrated from Colombo and lived again in Valvettithurai.
Chandrakumari Akka also continued her high school education at the most famous college in Valvettithurai, the Charana Movement, and went all the way to the All Sri Lanka College in Yarlpanam.
Valvai Chitambara College
Our national leader, born in the land of his birth, lived with courage and bravery, as the old saying goes, “The poet who weaves the house will sing.”
The Valvai Library massacre took place on 12.05.1985 while he was studying G.C.E. Ordinary Level. The problems occurred in G.C.E. Advanced Level in 1989. And the Valvai massacre that took place on 02.08.1989 attracted him to our struggle.
In this regard, in 1990, when the second phase of the Eelam War began, Chandrakumari Akka, “rather than lying around in the kitchens and cinema halls, wearing fancy clothes and ornaments and getting fake fame, instead of sleeping with her thoughts, she firmly grasped revolutionary ideas and entered the field as a warrior woman and through our just war, we can end the unjust war,” and “the country’s liberation struggle is not only a hero’s duty but also our duty,” she realized, rose up, joined the great leaders team. Completed basic training in the 11th team at the women’s training camp and became a LTTE with the name Varada.
During this time, the national leader was a Karumpuli. Varada also received permission from the national leader.
In 2001, our struggle evolved, and we were strong enough to capture the Yarlpanam Peninsula. The Sri Lankan army was weakened. Because of this, Ranil Wickremesinghe, who was the then Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, feared that we would reclaim the Yarlpanam Peninsula and the entire Tamileelam, and with the intervention of the Norwegian government, signed a permanent ceasefire agreement with us on 22.02.2002.
The people were happy that they had found a solution without realizing the deceit of the Sri Lankan government. In 2004, Varada also joined the national leader with the approval of her father. Even after getting married, she continued her work in the Women’s Unit of the Naval Team of the LTTE.
In 2006, due to the resumption of the fourth phase of the Eelam War, the A9 road was closed, and the clouds of war again surrounded her. Due to this, according to our struggle tradition, “This is the time for both husband and wife to leave with equal participation in practical life and in the great liberation war to save the country,” and Varada and her husband carried out their work diligently along with their respective battalions.
Varada was also sent to Thiriconamalai and Mattacalappu districts as the commanding officer of the Remote Sensing Unit (RADAR) that observes electromagnetic waves using an electromagnetic wave device. On 30.10.2006, while moving from Mattacalappu to Vanni through the forest, our Varada was attacked in the Vagarai area of Mattacalappu and left us all in irreparable sorrow.
The noble stories of how she and her husband fought for the liberation of our nation took place in our homeland. The world knows who Balraj is, but his wife is a person of the same courage, bravery and love. These are the freedom fighters who fought and won the battle for the liberation of our nation.
When history gives us an opportunity, the world will praise the bravery of our commanders.
Salute to the bravery of our commanders.
