Ground black tigers
The first ”karumpuli attack” (suicide attack) was in 1987 July, 5th September against the Sri Lankan military. The first Black Tiger Captain Miller did the suicide attack. Captain Miller attacked the army camp at Vadamarachchi Nelliyadi Central High School. Following this attack ”Operation Liberation” on Sri Lankan military was closed.
Vallipuram Vasanthan, also known as Captain Miller (January 1, 1966 – July 5 , 1987, from Karavetty in Jaffna ) was a prominent member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) .
