Many Tamils have forgotten a book called Purananuru

Many Tamils have forgotten a book called Purananuru, the heroic treasure chest of the ancient Tamils.

They have a small heart like a mustard seed, saying, “I have my own house, my own child, my own food, my own income.” The spirit of heroism has completely disappeared from the bloodstream of those who have become small. They no longer need heroic books like Purananuru. As far as I am concerned, ‘Violation is the lifeblood of the Tamil nation. As long as it exists, a Tamil lives as a Tamil man who protects his ethnic honor. As soon as he renounces it, he falls into a pit of despair. Therefore, for me, a descendant of the Tamil nation, Purananuru, which ignites the fire of heroism, is a vital need that goes beyond the basic needs of life. I read it. I read it often.

A person with light
Once I was flipping through the pages of that heroic book. I was amazed to see a song about the Tamileelam Liberation War V. Prabhakaran, right then and there, drawn in diamond lines in that book! Bravery is timeless. It is always the same. The fire song about the hero who expresses it is the same then, today, and forever!

3000 years ago. This is the song sung by Purananutru Bulavan (Puram 309), foreseeing this Prabhakaran. A warrior sings about his brave commander,

“The iron face is broken,
One man steals the iron,
It is easy for someone,
Like a well-warmed mound, like a court of three warriors,
The other fighters call him ‘the captain of the camp’,
A bright light,
The strong man, the high-ranking fighter, sees me.”

This warrior compares his leader with other famous warriors. Those warriors are also bulls who have seen many fields. They are heroes who have defeated their opponents on many battlefields. However, none of them have achieved the fame that this leader has. He has never heard of it.

That is, their enemies will fight against those heroes and lose. They will be happy after winning. However, the enemy, when they saw any of them, never turned their backs without fighting.

The position of this leader is completely different. He has attained complete exaltation! His enemies do not come to him in battle and are defeated. They are defeated without coming to battle.

The reason is that just because he is in the camp, a kind of trembling begins to pour into their hearts. Has he come to battle? Is he in the camp? If he has come, then our fate is that fate! Before they see him in person, they tremble with fear and panic.

This is the difference between other warriors who conquer the enemy and that hero who is this leader. Just because he has come to the camp. They consider this camp “like a well-hidden place and a place for three warriors to fight.” Those enemies. That is, when they think of the camp where he is, they think of a terrible pit where a good snake lives, and a public place (the place where the bullfight takes place) where a fierce bull with sharp horns that can stab anyone and kill anyone comes to mind. They are afraid to walk near him!

A hero from Vallvettuthurai. He is proud of his bravery (Kural 1088), saying, ‘Even the one who sits in the memory is my enemy’. When they think of him, not only is it impossible to fight him, but even the thought of him causes fear and trembling in his enemies. In a similar situation, his army commander sees the Purananuru hero.

Prabhakaran
Tamil history has witnessed thousands of war heroes. At least a few hundred of them were unrivaled warriors. The epigraphs, inscriptions and songs praising them are very generous. Even in the medieval period, there were many who were called the bearer of the Ganges, the conqueror of Kadaram and the one who dispelled the darkness of Kalabrar. Even after so many people ruled and achieved glory, the unique heroic fame of the Tamil race did not spread to other parts of the world.

Not only in distant countries, but even in the territory north of the Vindhya Mountains in India, the Tamils were not known as Tamils. (Even today, North Indians call the Tamils of Tamil Nadu by the name of Madrasigal) It was only the priests of the West who had to discover and tell the world that there was a noble Tamil language. To that extent, the decline of the Tamil race History lay low.

99 out of 100 people in the world were unaware of the existence of a group of people called the Tamils in the Indian subcontinent. The party members who have recently competed for power here have forgotten this shameful green truth. As the revolutionary poet said, “Should I rub it on my skin? He is the one who prays, the North!” They acted and wandered in the style. As a result of this misguided deviation, the Tamil nationhood that had been fading for thousands of years became dark.

A brave Tamilian who had torn through that great darkness rose in the east. He was Prabhakaran, the Tamil general who was leading the liberation front of the Eelam Tamils towards victory!

Just think about it, the feeling of freedom had almost been buried in the motherland of Tamil Nadu. When it was in Eelam, it rose with a bang. That uprising took various forms and transformed into the LTTE under the leadership of the hero Prabhakaran.

While Nath was talking loudly about “I am a warrior, you are a warrior”, some others also set off from Eelam. Even after they all stopped halfway and were buried in the pockets of strangers, the thirst of the LTTE for the homeland of Tamileelam was still alive. The LTTE set off with a cry. The force was led by the brave warrior, the national leader V. Prabhakaran.

As a warrior said in the song “Purananooru”, “It is easy for one to steal a hundred with an iron face, and one who has a hundred is a thief,” many people in Eelam called themselves ‘fighters’, and the hypocrites of the neighboring countries were waiting to give them weapons, training, and money for luxury expenses.

However, it was only after the great hero Prabhakaran took the lead that the Tamil message “There is a race called Tamil, and it has a unique character!” began to resonate throughout the world. Only after Prabhakaran’s fighters arrived at the battlefield did the enemies of Tamils feel a sense of fear and not to think of the Liberation fighters as ordinary.

India and Sri Lanka signed a global agreement When they picked up all the weeds that were wandering around under the name of fighters and put them in their box. The great historical truth that ‘Tamils also have courage, and it will not bow down to anyone’. A great new dawn arose in the form of the brave Prabhakaran.

If only the Indian death squad had not come to my aid, I would have fallen at the feet of Prabhakaran,” lamented the Sinhalese ruling leader. “If only Prabhakaran and his fighters could have been captured and imprisoned, we could have put an end to the Tamileelam Liberation War.” The Indian government, which has launched a crackdown on the brave Prabhakaran in the name of the Peace Corps, is still gnawing at its heart today!
