Maveerar Thuyilumillam is in Kodikamam
The army stopped the flame of sacrifice used to pay homage for heroes in the area where Kodikamam Maveerar Thuyilumillam was located.
When the Kodikamam Maveerar Thuyilumillam, led by former member of the Northern Provincial Council M K Sivajilingam, tried to light the flame in the area to pay homage to the heroes on Heroes’ Day, SLA troops came from an army camp and stopped them. So, the flame was lit and saluted outside this area instead.
It was noteworthy that the troops have now set up a large army camp on the land where Kodikamam Maveerar Thuyilumillam was located.
