One of the main reasons for the growth of the struggle

One of the main reasons for the growth of the struggle today is the two pounds that the people gave to the rescue fund in the past. When planes crash, ships sink, and military camps are conquered, the pounds that the people paid to the rescue fund come to mind. Therefore, the people who contributed to the rescue fund can also share in the military victories that our struggle has achieved.

4 years have passed since the rescue fund was received from the people. During these 4 years, the LTTE movement has grown significantly. Its manpower has increased. Many new brigades have been formed. The need for specific types of weapons has also increased. As the manpower and weapons have increased, the need for funds has also increased.

The Sinhalese commanders themselves know very well that the Sinhalese soldiers cannot match the fighting ability and courage shown by the LTTE warriors on the battlefields. So now (in the Third Eelam War) the Sinhalese commanders are interested in using a new war strategy. That is, using more firepower to fight the LTTE fighters. Firepower can refer to projectiles, artillery shells, air bombs and all types of projectiles, as well as gunpowder.

That is what Sinhalese soldiers carrying guns cannot do in battles – using explosives launched from tools. The current objective of the Sinhalese commanders is to try to do it from a distance. When the battles take place – before the two armies meet within the firing range, they fire thousands of projectiles and artillery shells at the LTTE fighters. The Sinhalese army tries to destroy the LTTE fighters. At the same time, when gunfights between the two factions begin, Sinhala soldiers waste millions of semolina in every battle, with the aim of increasing losses on the Tiger side.

The Sinhalese forces had used this same offensive tactic during the advance of Operation Leap Forward. Similarly, the Sinhalese forces used a huge amount of artillery to repel a major attack by the LTTE on five army camps located in the Manaru area. A few days earlier, when the troops tried to advance towards Chunnakam, they tried to win by using this huge amount of artillery. A Colombo newspaper reported that 80,000 shells had been sent to the northern field for use in the invasion of the peninsula. It can be assumed that the enemy has used at least ten thousand of these shells so far.

Sinhalese commanders use this artillery extensively with the aim of avoiding losses to their soldiers during battles – and easily inflicting heavy losses on the LTTE and the Tamil people.

If the LTTE uses the same weaponry against the Sinhalese forces, the soldiers will suffer many casualties. But the LTTE does not have that much weaponry. If the army fires a thousand projectiles in a battle, the LTTE can only fire ten or twenty projectiles. Similarly, the soldiers will spend tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition to attack a single LTTE fighter stronghold. But the LTTE uses only a few tens or hundreds of rounds of ammunition to destroy a few of the soldiers’ strongholds.

Because all types of projectiles, including projectiles and bullets, are expensive. The cost of the equipment to launch them is much higher. And these can be purchased with “dollars”. The value of one projectile is 100 dollars. In terms of dollar terms, it is a small amount. But if we convert it to our rupees, it will be five thousand rupees. We have to spend 5,000 rupees to buy one projectile. But that projectile will be spent. Even if someone gives five thousand rupees to the movement as a contribution to the struggle, the money he gave will only be used to buy one projectile; that too will be spent in a second. This is why the Sinhala government spends a huge amount of money on war.

The Sinhalese government spends 4,000 crore rupees annually on war. But the LTTE movement can only cost 180 crore rupees annually. If the LTTE were to double this war expenditure to 360 crore rupees, our struggle would reduce losses and advance rapidly.

When the Sinhalese forces enter our villages through a military operation – just as the Sinhalese forces do – the LTTE would also fire thousands of missiles, causing the Sinhalese forces to scatter. But. That is not the case. It is because they cannot fire large numbers of missiles that the enemy forces quickly occupy our villages.

Our dear people! Think about it. While we also use a large amount of military power against the enemy forces, if we also obtain weapons that prevent the enemy from using his military power against us, we ourselves can be the owners of victory. After we acquire anti-aircraft weapons, enemy aircraft are unable to use their weapons. Similarly, if we acquire artillery equipment, we can cause a fever in the enemy army in Palaly. But these require a huge amount of money. If the people are mindful, this need for money will become a trivial matter.

A small country, Israel, has defeated Arab countries with populations 15 times larger than its own in war. One of the main reasons for this is the enormous weapons power that Israel has. Even if several Arab countries attack Israel together, its enormous weapons power gives the Israeli forces the power to destroy the force of those attacks. While several thousand Arab forces are advancing towards Israel, the Israeli forces use their artillery – tanks and planes, that is, using only explosives, to disperse the Arab forces. Then the Israeli forces, which attack the disintegrated Arab forces, crush them and achieve victory.

But there is a world example that is different from this, and our people are also aware of the Bosnian conflict. The Muslims living there had declared a state called Bosnia. But the Serbs living nearby did not accept it. War broke out between the two parts. The Serbian forces are using military force liberally on the Bosnian Muslims and killing them. Meanwhile, the Bosnian army has a lot of manpower. But since they do not have military forces and military force, they are fleeing as refugees and are suffering. In addition, they are being destroyed as they are defeated in the war.

Military forces play a very important role in determining the success or failure of the war. But these cannot be obtained anywhere for free. They can be purchased by spending a large amount of money.

This is how an incident occurred during the Jewish people’s war of liberation. That is, additional weapons and military power were urgently needed by the Jewish fighters. But the liberation movement did not have enough money to purchase them. The situation arose of whether to get money from somewhere and buy weapons and military power or the entire Jewish people would be destroyed. At that time, the Jewish people donated a large part of their savings to the struggle and helped the Jewish fighters overcome the financial crisis they faced and establish the state of Israel.

Thus, financial power is necessary for the success of a liberation struggle. The bones of a human body give strength. It is with that strength that a person faces challenges. At the same time, human blood helps to nourish those bones and keep them strong.

The human power of our movement can be compared to bones and financial power to blood.

The power that makes bones work is blood.

The power that makes human power work is money.

If a man has no bones, he will lose his strength.

Then the crows will peck him and eat him.

If a man has no blood, he will die.

Man needs both bones and blood.

Similarly, our nation needs manpower and financial strength.

We have started a fundraiser for the struggle in the name of the Tamileelam National Security Fund. Let us contribute to this fund and ensure the security of the nation.

In this way,

Blood donation will save lives; financial donation will protect a nation!
