Yogaratnam Yogi, the head of the Samaraivu Centre

Yogaratnam Yogi, the head of the Samaraivu Centre, held a speech about the final position of the LTTE on May 15 through “Pulikalin Kural”.

The special commander of the LTTE, Soosai, later announced on May 17 that ‘there is no room for surrender’, Yogi Annai himself delivered the policy speech – the theoretical speech. When the head of the Peace Secretariat, Pulithevan, spoke for the last time, he said that ‘the national leader is standing in the Nanthikkadal with a group of fighters. He will clearly tell the world the message he has to tell’. And the head of the Political Department, Nadesan, refused to use the word ‘surrender’ with journalist Mary Colvin. Later Yogi strengthened this speech, which was the impetus and a trap for writing the national leader’s final thoughts as the ‘Nanthikadal Principles’.

A small part of it is below:

-This world plan is to put a solution after disabling and weakening us. But we know that such a solution will not be put in place. We also know that it will not be implemented.

The Sinhala nation will talk about a solution for the Tamils only when the LTTE are strong. The world will talk. Otherwise, no one will talk about it anymore.

-We will be sure of one thing. Today, all the countries of the world want to destroy this national liberation struggle. Especially, they want to destroy the national leader. They think that if they destroy him, they can do whatever they want in this struggle, and they can destroy us, eliminate our struggle, and do whatever they want.

The light is that it will not happen. We will say that we will fight until the end in this struggle. We will say that we will all stand united and fight firmly in the path of the national leader.

-All the Tamils living in the diaspora are behind us. All the Tamils in Tamil Nadu – except for a few – stand with us. All of them should speak to the conscience of the people all over the world. The conscience of the world is the people of the world. We will speak to those people. We will continue to tell those people our views. Through this, we will change the governments and their thoughts.

-We have not lost hope. The war of liberation is a struggle that has always been fought by the people, and a struggle that has not lost its people’s consciousness. This is the spirit that the national leader instilled in us. We are not going to live in submission to the oppression that is being done to anyone unjustly. We will fight. We will not bow down. We will not surrender.
