Tamileelam Liberation Struggle, is not something that can be ended simply by armed struggle

The national liberation struggle of the Tamil people of Eelam, the Tamileelam Liberation Struggle, is not something that can be ended simply by armed struggle. The LTTE, who are well aware that only if a revolution is made in all fields of politics, society, economy and culture, can the Tamils of Eelam achieve complete liberation, have established a military organization to regain power from the Sinhala hegemons, a Food Production Committee, a Handicraft Development Committee for economic liberation, and a Propaganda Publication Board and a Cultural Committee to create political awareness, and are approaching the Tamil people.

In addition to these, the LTTE are today successfully carrying out the final stage of the work of transforming the Tamileelam Liberation Struggle, which began as a guerrilla struggle, into a people’s struggle by establishing primary health centers, fair price shops, etc. to solve the problems faced by the Tamil people during the struggle.

Local Production Committee:
Today, the Local Production Committee of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam is developing, promoting and implementing various local production projects essential for the people of Tamileelam. The main responsibility of this committee is to build an indigenous economic system that produces all the daily necessities of the Tamil people in Tamileelam during the period of intensification of the struggle. The Local Production Committee of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam itself produces the necessities of the Tamil people every day and is also involved in local production and is explaining to the people the importance of its use.

The Tamil people of Eelam cannot achieve freedom only if the Tamil land is freed from Sinhala military domination. Only if food and economic factors are gradually freed from foreign domination and we become at least somewhat self-sufficient in our (indigenous) local production can we build the country and govern ourselves.

During the height of the Tamileelam Liberation War, Sri Lankan connections were severed, and Sri Lankan products were prevented from reaching Tamileelam. Therefore, the LTTE, realizing that local food production and local industrial development are as important as armed struggle for the liberation of Tamileelam, are paying serious attention to those areas.

Cultural Committee:
The Tigers’ cultural committee is currently working well among the people. They organize street plays, street dramas, archery, dances, and horse races in every village. The people of Tamileelam are giving great support to these suddenly organized art programs. Through these programs, the LTTE are working rapidly to make the people aware of the true situation and develop a sense of struggle.

Public Security:
If the LTTE attacked the Sinhalese army earlier, the Sinhalese army, which could not resist, would in return attack the general public in a barbaric manner. But today the struggle is taking on a new dimension. Following the attack, the LTTE has been engaged in full security operations with the people, protecting the Tamil people and their properties primarily from the military atrocities.

The people of Tamileelam are also united with the LTTE and are engaged in self-defense operations. All the people are contributing their full share in this revolutionary war. Today, the people’s struggle has risen in Tamileelam. The day of the rise of Tamileelam is approaching.
