Tamils and Sonakar

Tamils and Sonakar

Once upon a time, there was a bond between Tamils and Sonakar that transcended religion. Sonakar would attend Tamil weddings and Tamils would attend Sonakar weddings to foster their relationship. They would share food during festivals.

Until the 1980s, there was a very close relationship between them.

“Whether Hindu by religion, Muslim by faith, Christian who studies the Vedas, or a Thirachai, an Eelam Tamil is an Eelam Tamil, wherever he is, he is ours.”

Based on this slogan, Sonakar youth also joined the LTTE movements and started fighting against the Sri Lankan forces.

“We are working with the experienced Internal Security Service of Isuravel to control the Tamil guerrillas.” said Lalith Athulatmudali, who was the Defence Minister of Sri Lanka in 1984.

This is where the conflict between Tamils and Tamil language and the Sonakar in Eelam is being started.

According to the plan that the Sri Lankan government had already laid out under the guidance of Mossad to divide the Tamils and the Sonakar. They used the Special Task Force (STF) that they had created to control the East to very cleverly create divisions between the two groups. The Sonakar side, who did not want Tamil and Sonagar unity, also helped in this.

Israel’s internal security service, Shin Bet, led and trained the STF.

In the next step, they created a Sinhala Home Guard Force and very cleverly recruited and trained Islamic youths and made them work with the STF to carry out massacres of Tamil villages in the East.

The small-scale conflicts turned into a major rift. Due to the continuous rift, the Sonakar formed an armed organization called “Jihad” for their protection. It was the same Shin Bet that provided everything from telecommunications equipment, training, and programs.
