ஒன்பதாவது நாள் திலீபனின் உடலில் மெல்லிய உதறல் வர ஆரம்பித்திருந்தது. உதடுகள் பாளம் பாளமாக வெடித்து இருந்தன. காலையிலேயே 5000 மக்கள் வந்திருந்தார்கள். ஆனால் திலீபன் கண்ணைத் திறக்கவில்லை. இந்தியப் படை தென் பிராந்தியத் தளபதி திபேந்தர் சிங் இலங்கை வந்து பிரபாகரனைச் சந்தித்தார். ஒரு மணி நேர பேச்சு வார்த்தை தோல்வியில் முடிந்தது. பகல் ஒரு மணிக்கு இரண்டாம் கட்ட பேச்சுவார்த்தை தொடங்கியது. இதில் இந்தியத் தூதுவர் ஜெ.என் .திக்சித், திபேந்தர் சிங் , இந்திய தூதரகப் பாதுகாப்பு அதிகாரி குப்தா ஆகியோர் இந்தியாவின் சார்பிலும் விடுதலை புலிகளின் சார்பில் அவ்வியகத்தின் தலைவர் பிரபாகரன், தளபதி மாத்தையா, அரசியல் ஆலோசகர் அன்ரன் பாலசிங்கம், வழக்கறிஞர் கோடீஸ்வரன் ஆகியோர் கலந்து கொண்டனர். பேச்சுவார்த்தை தோல்வியில் முடிந்தது.

DAY 9: THILEEPANS BODY WAS STARTING BECOMING WEAK.

Day 9: Thileepans body was starting becoming weak. His lips too get worse. 5000 people had arrived this morning. Thileepan could not open his eyes.
