மா. Nannan (30 July 1924 – 7 November 2017) was a Tamil scholar and writer.
Youth and life
He was born in Kavanur, next to Vriddhachalam . His given name is Thirugnanasampanthan. Due to his passion for Tamil, he changed his name to ‘Nannan’. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Annamalai University and a PhD from the University of Chennai . He started his career as an elementary school teacher and worked in high school, training college, art college and state college. He worked as a Professor of Tamil in the State College and later as the Director of the Department of Tamil Development from 11.2.1980 to 31.5.1983. Responsible for being the Vice Chairman of the Board of Adult Education. Inventor of a new method of writing called the Nannan method .
He taught counting and writing on Chennai TV for 17 years. Nannan, who has written several textbooks and supplementary books, wrote about seventy books during the period 1990-2010. Periyar is committed to principles. God supported denial, rationalism, mixed marriage, and the Reformation. Family
