Aiya Ilavalakanar
Aiya Ilavalakanar worked tirelessly for the liberation struggle of Tamil Eelam. Aiya Ilavalakanar, who was a faithful supporter of Tamil liberation and the Tamil Eelam liberation struggle, has passed away.
He has published many separate Tamil books through Tamilman Publishing for over forty years. He was in the forefront of the entire preparations for the training camp held in Orathanadu during the early days of the Tamil Eelam liberation struggle. Aiya Ilavalakanar gave his home as shelter to many freedom fighters from Ponnamman, a leading figure in the liberation struggle to Baby Brother and to the heroic fighters who came forward to rebuild the organization after the completion of Mullivaikkal.
He never talked about it, even though he wanted to do secret training camps in and around the country of his own free will. He even did not tell the outside world about the freedom fighters who had stayed at his home for months. The help of the right hand is so important to the left hand that the work he did for the liberation struggle is so important.
He also played a key role in the construction of the Mullivaikkal Yard in Thanjavur. Our tributes to Aiya Ilavalakanar who worked with the true mindset for a nation for the Tamils from the beginning of the Tamil Eelam liberation struggle till today.
