Allikkuli kiruttinacami parantamanar as a. கி. Paranthamanar started his career as a writer and rose to become a Tamil professor. He is also a writer, poet, orator and historian.
Birth
A. கி. Paranthamanar was born on 15th July 1902 in Chennai as the fourth son of Kiruttinasamy-Sivakkiyanam co.
Education
He attended St. Paul’s High School in Chennai Vepery till the end of school. On leave, he studied at Pachaiyappan College , Chennai , earning an Intermediate level and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and History, and a Master of Arts degree in 1949.
Mission
A. கி. After completing his schooling, Paranthamanar worked as a clerk at the Carnatic Panchayat in Chennai for one year. Later he worked as a Tamil teacher for almost 24 years at St. Paul’s High School in Chennai Vepery. He then joined the Thiyagarasar College in Madurai on January 8, 1950 as a Tamil Lecturer. He worked there for 17 years and retired in 1967.

A. கி. Madurai Thiruvalluvar Kazhagam celebrated his 60th birthday with Paranthamanar. The Madurai Writers’ Forum then awarded him the title of Baintamil Powler .
The Tamil University was established in 1981 in Thanjavur . In that ceremony a. கி. Mr. Paranthamanaru Government of Tamil Nadu . V. Ka. Award presented .
