It is customary for the public events and maveerar worship events held by Eelam Tamils to begin the event by saying Akavanakkam in Tamil. But the meaning and history of Akavanakkam said in Tamil is not fully present said in a foreign language.

When the meaning and history of Akavanakkam said in Tamil is fully present in a foreign language, it will be possible for foreigners to understand our history and struggle clearly.

Therefore, we have translated Akavanakkam into foreign languages with the same meaningful words as how Akavanakkam is said in Tamil. In the future, we kindly request that the following Akavanakkam be said in Tamil and then in the language of the country in which foreigners participate.
