RememberingThe “Eelam People’s Magazine”, which had been published until the end of the war in 2009,

The “Eelam People’s Magazine”, which had been published until the end of the war in 2009, ceased its service on May 10.  Twenty-two people, including those who worked with us and their families until the end of the war, were killed in Sri Lankan artillery shelling.

Finally shown in these pictures are the family of our correspondent. They were killed in a shelling attack on May 11, 2009. Two members of this family have already been planted in the motherland as heroes.  Another brother went missing during the last days.

From Kilinochchi to Mullivaikkal, the people of Eelam have worked for the newspaper with their families during difficult times. We had lost Sukanthan, Antony, Tharsan, Sasimadan, Maheswaran, Anton, Benedict, and Tenzi, who had loaded the printer on a truck and continued to print the magazine, even when the operations of many companies were inactive.
Today, much of the information about the end of the world is known to many, but the evidence shows that it was the hard work of the few journalists who worked at the time.
