Excavations at the Mullaitivu
Excavations at the Mullaitivu watershed Kurundur hill where excavations are taking place have uncovered ruins similar to the suspected Shivalingam. Historian Mr. NKS Tiruchelvam has confirmed that the Tara Lingam is an eight-faced (eight-faced) Pallava period figure similar to the Shiva lingam found in the excavations at the Kurundur hill in Mullaitivu.
