Head of TEEDOR and husband of Dr. Padmaloginy, Karikalan had a crucial role in the development of Tamil Eelam thus promoting the self-sustenance of the Tamil state. Furthermore, he had indicated the pride that cadres had in attaining martyrdom through death to allow future generations to live in freedom. However, he was forcibly disappeared alongside his wife by the occupational SL forces. Thus, the unwavering stance assumed by individuals such as Karikalan must be assumed by us as we proceed to progress the course of our struggle for liberation.
