Jayanthan Brigade
Jayanthan Brigade contained Eastern Province militants. It is a Special Legacy Regiment that has been involved in many battles, especially Operation Frog Leap (1993), Operation Jayasikuru, 1996 Mullaitheevu War, Kilinochchi War (2008-2009), Elephant Pass Attack (2000). This regiment was named in memory of the legend Jayanthan.
