On March 10, 2003, the Sri Lankan Navy intercepted the M.R.Koi, a merchant ship belonging to Tamil Eelam liberation movement; Tamil Tigers, on international waters. In a poignant and heroic act of resistance, the crew drowned, laying down their lives to safeguard the peace of our people.
