Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka, the capital city of the Chola dynasty.
This is the Diwanga Statue House built in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka, the capital city of the Chola dynasty. This monumental structure was constructed in the Pallava and Chola architectural styles. Initially, it must have served as a Hindu temple. However, over time, many sculptures reflecting Hinduism were removed, and currently, a statue of Buddha can be seen inside.
