The lathe of Comrade Arushamy Annan, a martyr for Tamil Eelam’s cause, reflects his determination and hard work for liberation. In 1989, this significant object was confiscated by India’s Tamil Nadu Government Police as part of their measures against the self determination movement.
It remains a poignant artifact of the turbulent times, and the sacrifices made by Tamil Eelam revolutionaries. It is now housed in the Coimbatore Police Museum; the lathe embodies the resilience of Tamil fighters and serves as an enduring reminder of their sacrifices for justice & accountability against Sri Lanka’s genocide of Tamils and it’s struggle for Tamil Eelam’s self-determination.
