The Army had sent back their relatives of the Maveerar and civilians, when they went to clean for the Maveerar Thuyilumillam home in Visvamadu Theravill Thuyilumillam and who had gone there to commemorate Heroes’ Day
In Visvamadu Theravill Thuyilumillam, the relatives of the Maaveerar and civilians had gone to worship and light the fallen heroes but, they were stopped by the armies at the entrance of the Army camp and were not allowed inside by the Sri Lankan Army.
Members of the Northern Provincial Council, D. Kurukularasa and S. Pasupathipillai, who also went with the relatives of the Maveerar found the tombs of the Maveerar, who had sown many Maveerar in this place. On top of the tombs, the armies set up their camps and are living on it. This time around the relatives of these heroes have demanded that their children be allowed to burried in the places where they were sown and to remember their children. However, the military refused, saying it could not allow anyone to enter the hero’s Thuyilumillam without permission anymore.
The tombs of the heroes who sowned most of the heroes are found in the home of the heroes in Theravill Thuyilumillam in Kilinochchi district.
