Keep this book in a safe place. It is not necessary to carry it with the motor vehicle.
If this certificate is lost, destroyed or defaced, the Registrar’s Office of the M.U. should be notified, and a new certificate should be obtained.
If the motor vehicle covered by this certificate is sold or transferred, this certificate can be handed over to the owner who was in possession on the date of transfer of ownership.
The new owner of the vehicle or anyone else who has acquired ownership should bring this certificate in person to the Registrar’s Office of the M.U. and make a correction.
The Red Book does not restrict the sale or transfer of vehicles in any way. However, the Red Book is issued only when the person taking charge of the vehicle becomes aware that the vehicle does not have the correct certificate.
