You are the one who postponed all the invasions
that were to happen to this island for three decades
You have been silent
This island has not been able to face it
Even for a decade on its own
You are the guardian who gave freedom to this island
You are the sea god who guards every shore of the island
You are the border god who guards all borders
Your presence has protected not only Tamil nationalism
Also Sinhala nationalism

දශක තුනක් පුරා දිවයිනේ සියලු ආක්රමණ කල්දැමුවේ ඔබයි.
ඔබ නිහඬව දශකයක්වත් ඔබට මුහුණ දීමට නොහැකි වී ඇත.
එබැවින්
ඔබ දිවයින මුදාගත් ආරක්ෂක නිලධාරියා ය.
දිවයිනේ අනෙක් පැත්ත ආරක්ෂා කරන මුහුදු කොල්ලකරු ඔබම වේ.
සියලු සීමා මායිම් රකින මායිම්
