V., also known as the perimeter artist . Co. Suriyanarayana Shastri (July 6, 1870 – November 2, 1903) was a Tamil scholar, author and one of the pioneers of the Tanidhamil movement . He is proficient in speaking and writing in a high classical Tamil style. Certified in Drama Scholarship. He is the author of research books such as ‘History of the Tamil Language’, plays such as Kalavathi and Rupavathi, and dramatic grammatical drama.

His parents gave him the name Suriyanarayanan . Later known as Suriyanarayana Shastri , he changed his name to Parithimar Kalaignar in pure Tamil which is not mixed with Northern languages ​​due to his attachment to Tamil .

Biography

He was born in the village of Vilacheri Panchayat near Madurai to Govinda Shiva and Ilakshmi Ammal. He learned the Northern language from his father and the Tamil from Madurai Sabapathy et al. He was very interested in Tamil language , grammar and literature from an early age and later became the first in the state in Tamil language and philosophy in his bachelor’s degree . He wrote several books on the history and drama of the Tamil language (grammar for plays). Kalavathi (1898) wrote the play Rupavathi and played the female role of Kalavathi and Rupavathi herself.
