Captain Vanathy´s last poem before she died in the battlefield
– Maveerar Naal Special Post.
“Write my poem
that I cannot write
Wanted to write
much so much
But I cannot write my thoughts
because my gun is still standing
And I cannot stand up
Write my poem
that I cannot write
Behind the roaring gun
my body may be broken
But my feelings will not be destroyed
Write my poem
that I cannot write!
If our graves are built
on our reclaimed land
They will not be for your tears
or your flower wreaths
Your determination to revive our land
should be crowned with joy
Write my unwritten poem
After my meaningful death
you will surely wander
in a recognized Tamileelam
Then my unwritten poem
will stand before you
Those who know me
those who understand me
those who have embraced me
those who have shown me love
All those
look into the unwritten poem
There, I am the only one…
