
Congratulations to the Tamil who made history as a pilot
The pilot is Anuj, a native of Viduthaldi.
Anujan, who is the grandson of Arulvasagam (Arul) Patamlar of Vidatallevu village and the son of Morin Belsiya and Anran Gerad (Niklas), holds a pilot’s license.
Born on 9/3/1998, Anuj had his primary education at Mannar Louis Primary School followed by St. Xavier’s College for Men from Grade 1 to 3.
Subsequently, he obtained a vocational Higher Secondary qualification in Electrical and Automation Technology and an Electrical Engineer degree in Finland.
He has also passed all the official ATPL examinations in the ATPL Integrated Course with FLYBY AVIATION ACADEMY in Burgos, Spain and has been awarded Commercial Pilot License for European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) aircraft, (EASA CPL(A) MULTI-ENGINE PISTON (MEP) and Instrument Assessment (IR), Performance Based Navigation (PBN) and ADVANCED UPRT Prevention and Recovery Training i.e. recovery from loss of flight control.
The ATPL is a flight license that can be obtained by an airline transport pilot.
It is the highest qualification a pilot can obtain and it enables one to act as a Captain in commercial airliners.
