01.11.1993 – Memorial Day of the Kantharuban Arivucholai – Children’s Home
The Karumpuli of the Naval Team Major Kantharuban lost his parents and grew up in the shelter of his foster father. He joined the struggle with the national leader in his childhood. The national leader took special care of him because of his grief.
He used to buy a dairy cow to give him milk during difficult times. When he became a Karumpuli, there should be no children who have lost their parents in Tamileelam.
He became a Karumpuli after telling the national leader his desire that our movement should take care of them. In accordance with his words, the Kantharuban Arivucholai – Children’s Home was started by the national leader of Tamileelam on 01.11.1993.
Children who have lost their parents from all parts of Tamileelam were taken and raised in that home. Today, those who grew up in that home are educators and optimists of Tamileelam. We urge Tamileelam activists to continue to advance the work for the children who have lost their parents in Tamileelam and do a good job.
