Kantharuban Enlightenment
Kantharuban Enlightenment is a children’s home established on November 13, 1993 under the direction of Velupillai Prabhakaran for the care of boys who lost their parents and guardians due to the war situation in Sri Lanka . As of 2005, there were 227 children in care at the home.
I am an orphan, a child without a father or a mother. Children like me should not be portrayed as suffering. The last wish of the black tiger to Major Kantharuban Prabhakaran was to take and raise such children . That is why this orphanage was started under the name of Kantarupan.
