Major Nayagan received a certificate from the national leader of Tamileelam
Today is the Memorial Day of Major Nayagan 23.08.2001
He joined the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in 1989. He participated in many fronts, and lost his left legs during the clash with the Sri Lankan army that advanced in the Mullaithivu Alampil area on 09.06.1992.
He is passionate about technology. In 1993, he was sent to the Lieutenant Colonel Navam Institute of Technology for training in video and film editing. After completing his training, he was sent to the Visual Arts Unit in 1994 for shooting and editing. He is an excellent cameraman and an even better film editor. He has edited many of the programs of Oliveechu, short films (Our shoodu), and narratives. His talent was especially evident in the narrative of Oyatha Alaigal -2.
Major Nayagan completed his training at the Navam Arivu Koodam and received the title of best cinematographer and film editor. He has also received certificates from the national leader of Tamileelam. He loves the fighters with him very much. His devotion and affection for his leader are immeasurable. No matter how much work he is given, he does it without turning a blind eye. This freedom fighter worked efficiently despite losing one of his legs. He was returning from filming the attack on the Kokkuthoduvai army mini-camp on 23.08.2001, when an enemy shell fell near him and exploded. He turned off his camera on the spot and kissed the motherland.
We were shocked to hear the news of the fighter death and we cried in our hearts and stood up. This land has lost many shooting fighters like him. Major Nayagan has shown his love for the people, the land and the leader through his actions.
Let us salute to Major Nayagan and continue the work he left behind.
