P Thamilchelvan joined the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE)

P Thamilchelvan joined the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in 1984. He trained at the 4^th LTTE training camp inTamil Nadu and served as the personal coordinator for the Tamil Eelam National Leader.

Before the Tamil Eelam National Leader came to Tamil Eelam from Tamil Nadu in 1986, S.P Thamilchelvan went to Tamil Nadu to discuss information about field conditions with the Tamil Eelam National Leader. At that time Thamilchelvan’s name was Dinesh.
