First on 27.11.1990 Maveerar Naal and secondly on 14.01.1991 Thaipongal Day,

Two thousand five hundred LTTE fighters and heroes sacrificed their lives to liberate Tamileelam from the Sinhala chauvinist monster. Tens of thousands of LTTE fighters are standing bravely on the battlefield.

Millions of people who love the land of Tamileelam and are waiting for its liberation are bearing the unbearable military and economic atrocities of the Sri Lankan government and are contributing to the liberation war.

The Sinhala government, which is bent on plundering the land of Tamileelam and making the people of Tamileelam permanently slaves, is vigorously pursuing its efforts.

It is receiving many weapons and funds from international powers that do not want the liberation war.

It is collecting crores of rupees in the name of the “National Security Fund” for the Tamil genocide.

News indicates that even the Joint Commander of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces is going street by street to collect funds. A significant number of Sinhalese people are also donating funds for this Tamil genocide.

Sri Lanka is collecting donations from the salaries of Tamil government employees and for this fund, it is also receiving a large amount of funds from Tamil businessmen in Colombo.

The Sinhalese government is collecting a large amount of funds from the Tamils themselves to destroy the Tamil nation and enslave the Tamil land. With these funds, it is purchasing modern weapons – ammunition and fighter planes – and waging a war with the people of Tamileelam.

In this situation, our movement needs a large amount of funds to modernize our liberation war and liberate Tamileelam, unlike the enemy. That money can only be obtained from the Tamil people. We can get it. To achieve this objective, we are implementing a loan scheme called Tamileelam Recovery Fund.

We receive funds from well-off families based on two pounds of gold or ten thousand rupees per family. This scheme helps us to get funds for our liberation war and all Tamil people to join our struggle and contribute in some way.

We had also given the people a promise that we would return the gold we received by exchanging the gold they gave us (carat) for the gold they gave us in the form of a gold coin engraved with the number 2 lacs.

First on 27.11.1990 Maveerar Naal and secondly on 14.01.1991 Thaipongal Day, we returned the gold to 100 bondholders, and we are continuing to take steps to return it monthly. So far many of those who had recovered the gold offered to donate a piece of jewelry equal to the gold coin we had given them.

An old woman who said that she would use the recovered gold engraved with the Tiger symbol as a treasure immediately expressed her willingness to donate two pounds of gold to the movement. This act moved the people and fighters who participated in the recovery program to their senses.
