“Sun in the grave” – Major Prasath

“Sun in the grave” – Major Prasath

Prasath
On the path of freedom
the small offerings
that you
raised
became
like colorful insects
towards the dawn,
like fire stones
that are laid to light the lamp for the nation …

Many times
death
fought with you and could not win,
and
I felt pain

On both sides of the road,
the Indian army
waited
and the panicked people
forgot the streets.
But you
carried the weapons

needed for the fight
and crossed the junctions

and the dead ends
normally
The traces
of those who
hurried in search
of freedom

on the single-track and
streets…..
One day,
the Indian army left

in the wake of the
deaths of people like you.

On the mound of deaths – a
history will be created.

Hero,
I did not light a lamp on your
grave and
defile it…..

I did not shed tears
because……
we know,
what is inside is
the sun.
