Tamil groups in the web of Indian-Sri Lankan intrigues

When Tamil organizations united with the LTTE on the issue of autonomy rights and raised one voice, the Thimphu talks broke down, and the LTTE movement continued to stand as the vanguard in the armed struggle and break the backbone of the Sinhala army, the Indian government was angered. The Indian government conspired to disrupt unity among Tamil organizations, create conflicts, weaken the LTTE movement, and control the armed struggle that was advancing at a rapid pace. It provided modern weapons to the RELO and EPRLV movements and incited them to clash and destroy the LTTE.

Meanwhile, the Sinhala government established secret contacts with the PLOT leadership and engaged in another conspiracy to destroy the LTTE. The Tamil groups got caught in the web of mastermind intrigues of the Indian-Sinhala governments and dared to clash with the LTTE. These armed groups, which had shown no interest in the national liberation struggle or the welfare of the people of Tamileelam and were completely engaged in anti-social activities, fell victim to the machinations of Indian imperialism and Sinhala chauvinism and tried to destroy the LTTE movement, which was shedding blood for the liberation of the Tamils, when the LTTE was forced to engage in a defensive war.

In May 1986, clashes occurred with the RELO movement and in November with the EPRL, and both these movements were disarmed by the LTTE. The PLOT movement was banned, and their activities were stopped. The victory of the LTTE against the Ettappar Kostis preserved the flame of independence of Tamileelam from being extinguished. As these organizations, which acted not only as agents of India but also as anti-people forces, became inactive, the anarchy that had dominated Tamileelam also came to an end.

As the hostilities of the enemy organizations were eliminated, the dominance of the LTTE movement in Tamileelam grew. The armed struggle against the Sinhala army progressed with unprecedented intensity. The Sinhala army, unable to cope with the attacks of the LTTE that broke out on multiple fronts, was paralyzed in its camp. The Yarlpanam peninsula and large parts of the north became major areas of control of the LTTE. The Sinhala government was pushed to the brink of defeat.
