The National Leader inspects the formation of the LTTE’s Air Force.
These are the photographs taken when our National Leader inspected the first two Cilin 143 aircraft, which were first formed by the LTTE and first brought from Eritrea, during their first flight in the Vanni airspace.
Later, they were modified by the LTTE for attacks. They were painted in a striped color called Kamablack and prepared for the attack.
These aircraft flew about 7 times in southern Sri Lanka and successfully returned to the Vanni. It earned the reputation of being the air force of one of the world’s first liberation movements.
Leader Velupillai Prabhakaran, Pottu Amman, Brigadier Tamilselvan, Colonel Jayam, Colonel Vithusha, Castro, and Colonel Theepan can be seen inspecting the aircraft involved in the flight. Pottu Amman and Tamilselvan can be seen happily traveling in the aircraft.
