Thoughts of the national leader….

Thoughts of the national leader….

When the national leader started the struggle, he raised everyone as his equal. Because that was the plan, he had created to take the struggle forward if anything happened to him.

This is the background behind the development of each person from Seelan, Chellakilli Amman to Kittu and Mathaiah into great personalities.

For example, in the famous Tinnavely landmine attack, the national leader left Chellakilli Amman to lead and participated in that attack as a stand-up fighter.

But there are many stories that are not known to the outside world. One of them is about Captain Pandithar. At one point, the national leader had chosen Captain Pandithar to lead the struggle after him. This is unlikely to be known to many, including the fighters who joined later. This is a fact known only to the top members of that time and the people who supported him. I have heard this from many sailors who were involved in the supply between Tamileelam and Tamil Nadu, known as ‘Ottikals’.

During the Indian training, the RAW organization was counting the fighters. Observing this, the national leader, with a long-range vision, called Captain Pandithar and had him secretly train a group of fighters in the village and make them operate independently. This was the national leader’s decision to continue Pandithar the struggle in case any agreement was reached with the Sinhalese by the Indian RAW organization, and he and his fellow commanders were killed or imprisoned.

When Pandithar was martyred, it was only when the bodies of those who had died with him were shown in the Roopavagini that the RAW organization was shocked to see the bodies of those who were not on their list and was afraid of the national leader’s intelligence.

With the memories of Captain Pandithar, who was equal to the national leader / worthy of the national leader’s utmost trust / the root and architect of the struggle.
