Women Sea Tigers

01.03.1992 thirty women fighters were jumped into the sea from the ground. The national leader made a competition in which rules said, male fighters should complete three miles and women fighters two miles. It was the basic rule. To win the swimming award, the male fighters had to come through 5 miles and women fighters through 3 miles. However, the women completed five miles. They received special gifts from the national leader.

In the August 1995 the women sea fighters stopped a ship “Irishmona” with some retired Sri Lankan troops and 128 Sinhala civilians in Mullaitheevu sea area. The target of the sea tigers was not “Irishmona”. This is the shrimp. The sea tigers were waiting for the shark. The sharks would definitely came to look after their shrimps. Moreover, when they did, the LTTE women sea tigers attacked and they sank the two ships of Sinhala Navy. Modern radar equipment and modern artillery were captured. Twenty soldiers were reported missing said security sources of the Sri Lankan government.
