The World Tamil Archive is an archive center in Kandy that collects and preserves various documents related to Sri Lankan Tamils. This is an archive of 45 years of work created by Kurumbacity R. Kanagaratnam.
This archive had a continuous collection of Tamil history from 1899 onwards. A portion of these documents has been preserved in microfilms (200) in Switzerland with the assistance of UNESCO. And an amount still had to be recorded as micro films. It migrated to Kilinochchi in the 2000s. The Sri Lankan Army destroyed this archive during the destruction of Kilinochchi.
